you thought wrong mate... while its true that diamonds are a girl's best friend, sometimes the elegance of a simple clean gents watch overpower the clutter and bling of a ladies.

i believe the dials before 1998, had the T<25 or T Swiss Made T tritium lumes.
aft that it's either 'Swiss' or 'Swiss Made'.
    anyone can verify?

    hi old birds,
how many dial is used by 14270?

The print below the '6' hour mark is "T swiss T 25", i notice one 14270 at one pre-own shop at chinatown, the print is 'swiss' instead.. tried surfing the net for info but in vain..

Hiya! Sorry for the late reply. Well hmmz why did I avoid it for so long... hmmz .. I guess it was mainly because I grew up in an environment whereby everyone thought that only Rolex was a good watch. So I went for the the other makes and went one full circle and found that I am happiest now with my Rolexes! For some reason can't seem to wanna let them go hahaha

My next Rolex is likely to either be the GMT IIc or the Daytona.

    Explorer!

Great watch. Have avoided Rolex for more than a decade then gave in this year and bought both the Explorer and Explorer II, one's a black dial and one's a white, looking good together
