If so, the GST of 7% must be very jialat right?

I wish there was more availability here in SG.
Most online dealers who have extensive experience selling overseas will ship via Fedex or UPS with Parcel Pro insurance. This means the declared value via Fedex or UPS is below the chargeable amount to incur the 7% GST but the watch is still 100% insured via 3rd party Parcel Pro insurance. Bottom line - you are covered 100% the value of the watch you paid for until it is signed for and received by you.

Regarding the availability in Singapore, that is a consequence of the small market and lower demand compared with elsewhere.

No, it is the original T116 except rounded over the years from wear and buffing. My 1655 also has a similar domed edge effect with its original T116. BTW, gorgeous daydate!

1675s are not rare and if you are comfortable with purchasing from overseas, you'd be spoilt for choice really. Unless you are looking for a caramel tropical, all original, bakelite 6542 with OCC gilt dial, then really I only know of one such example for sale currently

As expected, this thread needs more cowbell

          very nice!

          • [QUOTE=zimmerit5;897516]Hi r4gs,

All the special dials that you mentioned command a premium over the standard day-date and date-just. There is a guy selling a 1802 on VRM (http://vintagerolexmarket.com/) :-
FS: Rare reference 18Kt Day Date 1802 with smooth bezel, HEAVY REDUCED !!!!!!!!!April 6 2014 at 12:28 PM

Here is another smaller sized Rolex model 6334with the Explorer type cum waffle dial that I collected along the way

minimerc: think that 1802 piece has a wrong dial for the serial number.

can this be considered a vintage yet?
