  • My dad's vintage datejust

I just took over from my dad's wrist. It has chipped edges on its acrylic cover and scratches all over. The crown was loose and strap was long gone (replaced with a bracelet).

Bought him a brand new piece and took over this. I had it refurbished.

I would like to seek some suggestions for a suitable strap (brown preferably) 20mm.

    Thanks.

from the pie pan, looks like a 160x datejust and absolutely beautiful.

scout for any 20mm (usually leather) strap with a vintage taper (the buckle's inner width should be 16/15/14mm instead of 18mm).

they will pair best as straps in modern cuts don't suit such watches.

    wear it in good health!

Thank you. My dad claims it was almost the same age as me...30++ yrs!! He bought it for $800 bucks that time.

I think at most taper to 16mm? Any recommendations for strap sellers?

      Thanks again.

        straps

I think your dad's watch model is 1601 or 16013. Should fit straps 18mm. I have some leather straps at affordable price. sms 90545458.

can't be 160xx as they don't have pie pans (3035 movement).

straps are available everywhere, but i buy mine online.

            Hi,

The pure gold buckle = $800+++
Stainless steel or gold plated = $75
            Strap (normal leather) = $200+
            Croc strap = $400+

You can buy just the strap. But if you want to buy buckle, it HAS to come with the strap. RCS says controlled item all stock available.

Dont think I am going to be such purist to get original croc strap. Prob more options elsewhere.

Taxico - Can pm me where you get your straps? Thanks.
