additionally, i must add that due to wear and tear from the rotor, the bridge was a commonly changed item. 15xx auto winding bridges are all interchangeable. even from factory, they (rolex) have been known to use the "wrong" (??) ones in some watches.

whatever the case is, a lot more could have happened since the watch produced until your ownership. Rolex is now quite anal about cannibalized parts... the serial/chronometer number is your way forward. good luck!

Thanks taxico! I will send Geneva a mail about this. Not extremely important that Rolex service my watch. Just want to know my watch better. Just gotta wait for my tools. Currently being shipped here so no way of opening the case myself at the moment.

I have come across a few pieces with the "wrong" winding bridge. I doubt this is the case here but i wouldn't rule it out.

Will update this space when i have news.
