yup, just cut the lug-ends using cutter
seiko leather is very stiff and strong on the lug area, so no glue needed after you cut it

So you just cut the lug ends of the leather strap to fit into the 16mm lug width of the Planet Orient watch?

Hmm... was afraid that the sewn threads of the strap might defray after some time.

I see that you have got the black Planet Orient.. are the black leather straps original or aftermarket?

I just ordered one with the SS bracelet but am thinking to get a replacement leather strap. Can advise me on how you got your leather strap? As I found out, the lugs on the Planet Orient are rather small and strange, it's not easy to get a replacement strap for it.

I'm using alba leather strap 26mm, yo can buy it at any seiko service centre
orient planet's lug width is 16mm, so I had to cut the strap using cutter from 26mm to match 16mm

original planet orient is using pin & collar system on its lug,
not using conventional springbar, so when i use my custom strap, I 'm using additional 16mm springbar
