  • Patek or AP RO...side by side

Two very similiar luxury watches - automatic with date, black dial and a simple classic look. Here's a side by side comparision for those who have always thought about getting one of them or both... Left is AP Royal Oak 15300 and right is Patek 5167A..Both on aftermarket rubber strap.

Still can't make up my mind which one I like better for now...

    PP in this case

IMO, that model AP looks better in white (maybe due to thin 5,10,15, etc markers?) unlike Black Theme or Diver which look the part in black Sorry, my 2cents.

        Patek Philippe. Personal preference - I don't like a "screwed-up face" ..

AP RO in white pls... Not too big a fan of the PP5167, plus you can get to save lots too.

The 5167 in a heartbeat! My only gripe is the small size at 40mm...42-44mm will be ideal imho.

Of the two, I would keep the AP RO 15300 ... just prefer the PP Nautilus range and never really warmed up to the PP 5167 ...

Wow, looks like the Patek garners most of the vote. I personally think that the AP is more musculine where the PP looks a little more feminine, which is why i do see some women wearing it! The PP is also almost twice the price of the AP! In any case, both are nice and simple classic watches with nice movements

Prefer the AP RO too, in black or white, but would certainly prefer the Nautilus over the RO.
