  • Are JLC not that popular in SG?

    Hi,

Theres al ot of talk about APs, Panerais, Rolexes etc but i never hear anyone mention JLC. I love their Aston Martin Compressor ( i think it called). I triled calling alll the forum dealers but no one seems to have JLC dive watch or master compressors for sale?

    Can anyone recommend??

    thanks.

I guess not as mainstream as the rolex or APs, but definitely a very respectable watch maker.

Looking forward to getting my master control 8 days perpetual calendar

JLC is definitely a very respected watch maker..I've always prefer my watches with in-house movements and JLC is high on my wishlist..not too expensive that it is out of reach..the piece I'll want is the Master Compressor Chronograph..if only I have $12K lying around now!

JLC are great in fact they manufacture some movements for the likes of AP and even select Patek Phillipe.... enough said.

I think most JLC fans dont really sell their watches, perhaps they love them too much! The beauty of this brand is that it's not too commercialised & it's always nice to meet another JLC owner in parties or events. I dont wanna sound like some arrogant piece-of-****, but for me to buy a JLC is never about how much I am gonna lose in a year's time, but rather to appreciate the work-of-art & its rarity. And mainly cos I dont like mainstream stuff, be it expensive or affordable.

Here are some of my collection, past & present.

              Alfa 4C- maybe next time

I think the question here is what doe you mean by popular. JLC has a fairly niche demand which make it hard to command a good price in the second hand market as a result when compared to PAm and Rolexes. But that does not make it less popular...

Interested in JLC reverso but turn off by the thought of Richemont's horrible service.

For those keen in JLC, try not to go to MBS boutique as the service is lower than most expectation. Seriously!

I just visited the boutique and spend a good one hour there. I got to try on the Extreme Lab and the sales representative ( if I remember correctly, his name is Benjamin) was very enthusiastic in explaining the various details to me even though both he and myself knew that there was little possibility that I could ever carry this off on my 6.5" wrist.

I never feel any hesitation or tardiness when I asked to try on the various Amvoxes and Reverso. It was the same experiences I encountered in the JLC boutiques in KL and HK.

I can't comment on your specific experience but I would urge that you do visit the boutique again and politely request for help. You might be pleasantly suprised with a new experience.

I did not brought anything on that trip but i am certain my next watch will definitely be a Jaeger, again.

I also had a very pleasant experience at mbs jlc. Didn't buy anything but the sales rep was very polite and enthusiastic about showing me the pieces I was interested in.
