Maintainance is an issue, my main concern is some brands, once model discontinued even you have $$$ also cannot fix due to no more parts...

Anyway do you guys think of the maintainence costs when you buy your watches? Well all the while...I do...that's why I think twice when I want to buy a leather strap watch,TT or YG watch.

x2 another one who consider maintance cost before jumping. just like buying a car, you want to know what tires it take, fuel consumption, power specs, servicing intervals etc etc.

              Service & Repair

              Hi guys,

Anyone has lobang for servicing watch? I had a pre-owned RXW MM20 and wish to go for oil & lubricating to maintenance the watch.

So far I know is more than $150 just for servicing. Anyone can recommend any shop which is cheaper?

              Thanks

                US military watch repair

Bros, does anyone know where in Singapore can I find repairs for US military watches? I have approached some shops and sadly they don't entertain.

How old is the watch? What's the reasons cited from those repairers why they cannot fix it?

                    1. We got too many watches for repair.
                    2. Your plastic watch is too cheap to repair. (One of my watches is made of composite and has a swiss mech movt)
                    3. Your watch has no problem.
                    4. I don't repair old watches.

One watch is 20 yr old, the other is 45 yr old.
                      Both swiss movt.
                      Zzzz...

I think they do not dare to take in as the watch is too old, if they spoil it, and the parts are not accessible or out of production, they will be screwed..

The servicing price is from ASC or external vendors? That sound a bit ex for external vendor, was quote below $250 at a watch repair shop in chinatown for repair of ETA movement. The shop is located at level three of people park complex.
