  • A Private Affair...2017 Singapore Rolex Club GTG.

Had the pleasure to hang out with fine enthusiasts last night at a privately held event and many many thanks to Triton and his team for making this one another successful event yet again.

    The place...

Blocked up just for Singapore Rolex Club...(pic courtesy of Triton)

The beauty of gtgs are getting to wear watches that are not yours without needing to go to the ADs and having the sales rep pushing you for a sale or those vintage long discontinued pieces not available anymore...

My first try-outs...LHD..Long Hard D***...I meant Left Hand Diver...awesome piece.

Plexi is sexy...this one is older then meself (and it belongs to a special guest)...just gorgeous...

A beautifully executed iteration of the Mil Sub...

Yes, there were food provided...but that not really the reason for attending...nonetheless, everyone at my table kept praising the awesomeness of the crabmeat...

The desert were excellent as well...among all, this was my fav...

Back to watches, there were an introduction of a local made brand as well...

Not because it's a Rolex Club Event, one have to necessarily wear one to attend and this beauty caught my eye...Nicolas Rieussec...Magnifique...

Even the Jap came to the party...if you have not seen the clip of the Seiko Tuna 1000m Depth Testing on the 6th September 2014, I encourage you to...It survived a 4,299m depth before stopping as the Caseback was severely dented causing the hands to touch the crystal...

          And finally, a parting shot...

My thanks again to Triton and the mods for making this a yearly affair and also to new friends I made and the old ones that came to forge the friendship that had existed from the passion and love for this time machine we all call...Watches.

          Till next year...

Wow! What an event that was

And as always, Mr Ryuden's pictures and beautiful watch language

Enjoyed the food, the sharing, the people, and definitely the watches around me

At least I know better what my next ROLEX watch should be, tx to Mr Ryuden

            Have a good weekend everyone!

first of all, Singapore Rolex Club likes to thank all the guests (list here) who came to attend this event.

as per the past events, it is always an enclosed area specifically for all guests to feel safe without the privy eyes of the public.

i cannot agree more with you on the part that attendees of the event could possibly put watches on their wrists without having to visit local AD.

                        Hi Triton

Thank you for hosting a great event.
I was impressed by the participation level and everyone was so nice.
We had some great discussions and the great thing is one can always learn something about Rolex and watches.

                        Regards
                        Steve
