The Rolex 6694 is not the first model of Rolex. the first Rolex is the trench watch with porcelain dial (non oyster version). The first oyster shall be the octagonal watch. The 6694 is from the 1960s onwards.

5513 would be a good choice. IMO

If you like the more classic design, you can go for the 5500, or the 1601. If you want earlier Rolex you can go for Rolex Royal.

                  Thats even better.
All my old sport Rolexes have lost their lume and developed nice patina.
A wonderful thing that new watches with luminova cannot develop

I guess for a basic starter watch.....jus to get a feel of acrylic.....its the iconic 6694. It holds its own to any watch. Regards,P.

You can try looking for 6494 or 6694
I think it depends on your budget too.
I'd got myself a 1803 before I acquired 6494 because it's a nice vintage and quite rare (maybe?) though the condition might not really good as some parts are rusty. It's a vintage, so, sometimes rusty makes it perfect.
1601 has their line of vintage too

A 1803 is not too bad either

1680 white sub is a good start. It's affordable. It's got a date function that's handy as daily beater. Patina n top hat acrylic crystal r all vintage DNA
