  • Singapore Rolex Club Vintage Rolex Appreciation/Poisoning Thread

I know that the vintage rollie section of the Singapore Rolex Club forums is usually quiet, so why not an appreciation/poisoning/enabling thread for all of us to enjoy? With all due respect to Francis' excellent vintage rolex thread, here's one for all Singapore Rolex Club members to share and ooh/ah/wah/steam

Post and share pics of your vintage rollies! I'll start...

Problmchylde - Interesting TT Datejust with a turn-o-graph bezel?

Pegasi - No longer buy vintage? Sounds like you've found a cure

Clocking - Enjoy this thread! Kena poisoned or not, at least tons of pics.

Triton - Thank you. Not difficult to find the right red sub, but prices have strengthened a lot. G just sold his on your forums!

1675s are not rare and if you are comfortable with purchasing from overseas, you'd be spoilt for choice really. Unless you are looking for a caramel tropical, all original, bakelite 6542 with OCC gilt dial, then really I only know of one such example for sale currently

As expected, this thread needs more cowbell

You definitely know your watches. To be honest, I am afraid of buying from overseas because I am not particularly knowledgeable with watches, hence my fear of being scammed.

I would appreciate any tips/knowledge you can pass on to me tho, especially regarding the beautiful 1675 :P

Well, you can start with the established international dealers like Jacek/Scott from HQMilton, Ken Jacobs from Wannabuyawatch, Joshua Bonifas from Fourtane, Andrew Shear from Sheartime, Bruno Derval from Dream Collections, Gary Haftel from Exposing Time, VG/Paolo from I Signori Del Tempo, Maurizio/Thomas from Vintage Concept, Jed McCormack from Timetraveler, Elvio Piva from Tempus etc etc etc. Plenty. Alternatively, you can also use the website watchrecon.com to basically search across multiple watch forums and websites at the same time. It will come down to your comfort with buying internationally and always, always, do your due diligence before buying a watch.
