Default Advisory : Recommendation for first Rolex?

    Hi all,

I'm considering purchasing my first rolex and currently keen in the Submariner Date (116610LN) black dial.

Retail is at 11k seeking advice/opinion regarding the watch. I am totally clueless when it comes to Rolex.

If you want to buy from AD. Than make use of credit cards promotion that is on from Maybank and HSBC.
If you want cheapest than it would be in SG Roc.
If you ask how does the watch feels, I would say awesome.
    Anything else?

The Sub is a good and safe choice bro. But if you like to travel, the GMT is more suited.

    Thanks for all the replies!

After taking a look at the sub physically, find it a little small when worn on my wrist. I think it's also partly because I tend to wear big watches - 44mm and above.

Now I'm tempted towards the dssd. Nice size but looks super thick!
Anyone use it as a daily watch?

    Do AD typically give discount?

I find the size of DSSD is ok, in fact just the right size for me. The DSSD is one of my daily watch. Have you tried the 45mm Planet Ocean? It's even thicker than DSSD!

IMHO, DSSD is beautiful but not suited for daily wear especially if your working attire is a long sleeve shirt. Sub, GMT and Explorer are good choice for all working attires. If you have a deeper pocket, go for Daytona! All Rolex lovers yearn to own a Daytona someday :-)
