Default Rolex vintage 1803 18k day date prototype gold leaf dial 1972

Saw this beautiful rare vintage Day Date on sale by Robert Maron from the US for USD38,500
First time I see this beauty...
    here is the description

ROLEX VINTAGE 1803 18K DAY DATE PROTOTYPE GOLD LEAF DIAL 1972

Never before seen prototype gold leaf dial on a 1972 Rolex Day Date President. Rolex has always saved their most imaginative and creative and beautiful dials for the Day Date model. Dial is made by Fluckiger & Fils, which is a Swiss firm making artisan dials for leading brands likes Patek Philippe and Rolex. This dial was shown to Rolex as a prototype and was never brought into commercial production. Only a handful of leaf dials exist in 18k and none were ever sold at retail by a Rolex jeweler.
