Like when the re-issue milgass few years back, AD would display the obian color and ask customer to pay deposits or book first if they want other color and pay a premium of 1 to few K more. Dun waste money buy normal steel Rolex lah. Jus look at the movement, piece of crap ****, no decoration on rotor like other brand, even if other use eta or sorprod, that at least they decorate the rotor even if no display caseback.
Modern Steel Rolex is beater watch.
    Just buy and thrash it.
No need to worry about scratches or dents or anything.
    Just wear to hearts content.

Only own the watch, dont let the watch own you. Correct?

Regarding AD selling premium, I recalled reading an article saying that Rolex has enforced all ADs not to sell at premium, only at RRP maximum?

Agree with all said. However, I do think Rolex has moved on considerably from being just toolwatches to actually being assets, from all perspectives, be it speculative, vintage investment, pure hobbyists, social statement etc etc. Nothing wrong with that but now many things to consider. At the end of the day, barely any of us actually dive, let alone participate in Yacht racing!

Same here. Just put myself on waiting list and the salesperson told me I’m the 6th person today that he attended to placing a waitlist order.
