      Hero!

Open up you must have some good tools if not open liao cannot secure properly. Water go in.

Change glass? I would get a professional to do it

a hammer and a chisel! Just kidding! Not just any tool you can pick up from the DIY store..even the case opener you have to get specially for Rolex backcase, not any normal watch case opener..

                thank you triton!

I see pre-owned rolex dealers removing these back cases and glass in a couple of minutes , with the right tools. I figured since I intend to be a hard core Rolex Collector,I should learn these things too

...but I wont try on my daytona or Day Date, maybe a old 30 year old datejust because the glass have scratches.

BTW I am new here, how come some of you know my nickname is "Hero" ??

U need to buy a bergeon watch case opener & a set of adapter for rolex. Cum wif various sizes to open a rolex case back. If u dun wan to spend so much on the case opener u can buy a china made 1, a lot cheaper. Actually movement is quite simple, no finishing. mayb on those high end model! Only de overcoil is good.

no need to buy adapter from rolex. bergeon makes the set, as long as your case opener has the adapter, you are ok.

Hi Jackson, thank you for the information on the bergeon tools.
I suppose the 2nd floor shop at Rochor centre will have these tools?

Hi Louie, I dont think the techinicians at RSC do the water testing.
I seen a dealer at people's park, he just use a pale of water , put the whole watch in ,take out and show customer ...see waterproof all ok ha!
