Funny, i was thinking of swopping to a DCT M3coupe.... Then i thought i better save up all my money and work towards retirement in 5-10yrs.

Forget all about this complicated life and just take it easy.
The M3 is a less career limiting car and has quite a bit more power and a superior gearbox. Even the M3 coupe has a pretty spacious rear bench.

Yeah just enjoy life within our financial limits as life is too short.

Am currently on a E90 M3 sedan and 987.2 Boxster S (PDK) combo but am itching to trade in the Boxster for a used 997.1 C2S.

    Nice
I second that. Used to own one. (S Package).
To the uninitiated, it was actually manufactured in the same plant as Lexus in Tahara. The chassis, wheelbase and engine is the same as the Lexus IS250.
Being RWD and made in Japan, it was a no brainer over a Toyota Camry, imo. (similiar pricing point)
The new Mark X looks fabulous

I like coffee and the cheeses sticks they have at the vw showroom too. And I enjoy making friend's with the vw service staff. Furthermore, vw, allows you to test drive their cars for days ( I test drove a polo for almost a week!) and they allow you to bring the car home too! That's if you are able to get hold of one. To date, I've done real life test drives home in a passat, beetle and polo.

They honor their warranty without hesitation, too! They even extended the warranty on the clutch by 2 years or 100,000km. So far, they had fixed a structural leak, replaced my aux fan, air-conditioner unit, steering rack, ignition coil, head lamp, both brake lights' holders, water pump, both front window winders and of course, the clutch and 3 times in totla! Making my current clutch the third unit to have been fitted on my ride.

Oh! Did I mention the ride comes with a free pet bird that loves to chirp?

And there is absolutely no rush to service your car. Service bookings are always guaranteed and they only allow advance bookings of up to 2 months. Don't rush them.

Out of my group of 7 vw owner friend's(2 tourans, 1 golf, 2 siroccos, 2 jettas), all but one have experienced the infamous clutch issue. 1 sirocco had a flat battery in his less than 1 year old ride. 2 had the flashing "D" mechatronic issue.

But if you like a pocket rocket with a road tax of about $600+ per annum, insurance of below $1k (50% ncd), reasonable fuel consumption and performance to boot, and enjoy visiting the vw showroom, go for a vw anytime.

In a nutshell, it's a great car to drive but a nightmare to own.
My Alfa pales in comparison to yours.. And my car supposed to be more problematic..

But heng for me. Batt flat at 6 mths, went up tow truck in my 2nd year for gearbox issue. It's into it's 3rd year now, behaving normally but I noticed my gearbox is leaking oil again.

    But still loving my Alfa!
