Those were the days....
during my NS years, I have amblance attactment during my medic course. Seen van driver being trapped, arrive at scene can't do much, give IV, firemen use metal cutter to free the man, only when he is out, blood all over, I think his legs were gone case...
another case, accident at PIE near changi, my amblance station was behind penisular plaza near fort canning, was told all other amblances were out station, so we travelled like 25mins then reach scene, driver got cut all over his face, we need to take out piece by piece...
also saw 2 motorcycle accidents, one broken shoulder, the other broken leg...
there also many many other construction accident cases... the most unforgetable one was at UOB plaza (that time still under construction), a worker fell to his death. My AO declared death before we attend to him... I still remember blood flowing out from his ears and something look like brain material from his nose..
just be safe, nothing better than reaching home safely...
