Thanks for the assurance, however recently I came across a 2002 explorer 1 which is around 45xx. Was quite temped to get it first while waiting for new model to arrive. Would it be a sound purchase?

Thanks for the advice! I think what you mentioned is true - what one like maybe not be the same as you do. It's not an urgent purchase but my concern is would the older model be sold out.
