basket, jst recieve my shipment, the st croix rod never come in wow lau... 10 items come 9 nia...

got a pair of OHO storm techinal short, not too bad...but quite ex for a pair of short..US$79.95

yeah man, $100+ for a short is kinda exp but you can afford it one...

Quite difficult to have 1 package esp if you have rods. However, if the rods comes with rod tube then there is higher chance of them packing together, else i doubt they would want to risk damaging the rods during freight.

Previously, Gloomis charged me flat rate of USD$50 to send rods from US to SG.

anyway, i dunno wht's the cost, but this time come in 2 packages... cos 1 = rods, the other pack others... i think should order something tht can place in to one package instead of 2.

my dad still in hosp, i didnt go for the pass 6 days leow... dunno how to explain his condition... hmmmm... anyway, i almost full time work in hosp leow ... til he get better abit, if not cant go yet.

i paid 1.2k for tht stella, damn ex.

i order form them a few times... dunno why this time they no state ship/ handling...anyway, i think i order abt 10 items from them... the more ex is the 2 rods total abt US$ 450, reel close to $400... the rest all $20 to $80 items.

anyway, i jst take it tht my reel & GL rod save me total S$250, as long as charges not higher thn tht okie leow

pet, i got one certate 2500 too. bought it because of the 7kgs drag....but it is not a tough reel.

ya loh, my certate got problem with bail, change bearing 3 times leow... also bail spring kanna soft.

shimano, hmmm... dont like their spring range, but i got a biomaster, so so ... dont really like it... other thn tht, stella 8k, but i use it for offshore jig.

Yupz, its 7kg of drag. Actually, i'm also tempted to buy the 2000 to replace my old spinning reels and clear away all redundancy.

Certate are nice but its really way too pricy for a spinning reel imho. Would rather spend the money on baitcaster. Furthermore, like what you mentioned, i have also heard of a lot of problems with certate.

don't buy daiwa certate, i have one, and it wear out easily. i just used it a few times for offshore lure fishing and have to go for service already.

i still prefer stella or twin power for spinning reel.

No worries bro, i will not buy a certate. The quality of the reel simply does not justify that kinda price tag. If i really have that kinda money, then i will definitely go for the stellas. Even my Made in China ryobi reels last better.

Shimano reels are really a pleasure to use, however the corrosion issue is a major concern. Hence, i bought a caldia kix instead of the twinpower.
