Hi Pet & Louis,

I gatecrashed my friend's trip to Rompin last weekend. The trip is mainly focus on light jigging. Very excited since its my first jigging trip.

First day, result was poor. In fact, most of the other boats experience poor catch too. Guess it might be due to the gloomy weather. Total catch for me: 1 todak and 1 snapper. Hopefully, the next day will be better.

Second day, weather starts to clear up and so did our catches. We experienced much better result compared to the first day. Total catch for me: 3 tengirri, 1 snapper, 1 chermin, 1 grouper, 1 lizardfish. Top scorer for the day though my friends got the biggest and most hard fighting fishes.

Overall a enjoyable trip for me though i would love to hit more hard fighthing fish. Oh yes, there was one boat that hit 9 sails between 2 anglers. Pretty good result i would say considering it not even into the season yet.

Time to revisit rompin again...

my daughter in action, notice she no strength and put rod in between legs... hahahahaha.... tht nite she tell me her bye bye abit pain... hahahahaha

2nd day, 2+ hrs, 6 batang, 4 by troll, 2 by jig ( capt catch 1 ).. me jig zero... wow lan, never kanna 1 on jig b4... heheehee

anyway, hantham so many batang b4, never take pic with 1 .. hahaha.... so here.... my 1st pic with batang... hahaha

never get to go tioman, cos wife 6mth pregnant. think of the ferry/ boat trip, better not. some resorts need smaller spd boat transfer,...so end up rom area nia... went for 2 half day fishing ( both days start 8.30, bck at jetty ard 1pm ). .. actually fishing time less than 2.5hrs..cos boat journey to spot one way abt 1hr leow...

anyway, 1st day with my son & eldest daughter, tell capt small fish never mind, but must lo jia lo jia... 1st spot ( after an hr ride ) line down, really lo jia lo jia... for 1 plus hrs, almost all = small ang go li = 100+ pcs. ... all caught by my kids......



my son ask to go bck at 11, think they also tired leow... hahaa ... told my son..ok, but on the way bck, stop for 10mins, try to catch big fish. reach spot, hook up the biggest ang go li caught earlier, and less thn 3 mins, rod bend ... and i wrack it in, a cobia all happy leow, go bck resort loh... ....




tht day we deep fried those ang go li.... wow ... very very nice, we end up eating abt 50+ pcs of it on the 1st day ... hahahhaa

tues rom, wow, how come so many boats still at jetty, no go out leh....at most 4 boats out nia.... wow thinking, leow lah, must be bad, no ppl come...

and it was really bad, bottom nothing, jig for bait fish also nothing much, lan lan try trolling, kanna 1 batang, miss 4...wtf... end up 1 batang nia.

weather was sunny, hot, windless... water was so calm and current dead for the whole day... wnt out 8+ am... 3pm, we stop leow, no pt continueing if still so calm, currentless, windless ( like sauna ).

anyway, on the way bck to sg, go gelang patah there ft massage

Wow, then you can be professional hooker. Oops, i meant rigger for your friends liao. Like those you see in big game boat, just sit on corner and wait for the crew to pass you the rod when the fish is hooked.

Cannot lah, pay money and yet still get lau chabor. Waste time and money. Haha. Ask louis bring us to hollywood lor since he got lobang.

bring me leh,... i dont mind go jigging, i use $ as bait... should be easy to kanna some nice fishes ... hmm..overnight fishing hu boh ? hahahaha

no lah, i didnt fight any of them, balloon out, i let my frd play... i jst jig for bait fish and play jig ... .... guess after spratly hor, no interest in 'small' ikan billis .... hahahhaa ... no lah, let them hv chance to play... me relax nia..
