Started off win then lose then win back again my capital... then because of the stupid queue to take cash, I lost all my chips again.

First reviews of Resort World Casino....

I took a cab in... the driver (his first time going to Resort World) dropped me at Michael's Hotel... PAID $6 to enter Sentosa... It was to late to realised that if I had dropped at the carpark nearer to the Casino, there is no need to pay $6. The Sentosa at the barrier didn't even bother to let us know..

It was a terrible experience finding the Casino from Michaels.. I know where exactly the Casino is located... But the people there made so many barriers and queue lines.. it made it very very far for people to walk. If we walk straight, it might be just a 50m walk... going through the snake-lines queue... at least 300m - 400m

The Casino is relatively big but not every single table is open.

There are 2 sections - Smoking and non-smoking.

All the croupier are very very inexperience... the way they count the payout for Roulette put me off quite a lot. Terribly slow and pay wrong amount many many times.

The crowd were very very mixed... There are Chinese, Australians, A LOT OF MALAYSIANS from JB. It seems like there are more patrons from overseas than Singaporean. This surprised me quite a bit because I thought it will be filled with Singaporeans... Maybe the $100 levy did deterred some of them.

Singaporeans are to enter the Casino in a different queue. I swift past. But when I look at the other queue for foreigners, it seems to be very packed.

There were no waitresses or server to serve drinks to the tables.. Meaning, if you are very thirsty, your seats is considered given up when you leave to buy a drink.

The bet starts from a min of $20 per game for most of the tables.. Max bet is up to $3000 for Roulette and $20,000 for Bacarrat if I remember correctly. This is very impressive because most of the other Casinos I have been to set their MAX limit to about 5000 for Bacarrat and $1000 for Roulette.

There are only 2 toilets inside this huge Casino.. Even the gents formed a queue.. Terrible.

Worst part comes in: There is only 1 pathetic Cashier section with about 7 tellers... It will take you about 30mins to change your chips into cash.

Generally, this place has lots to improve but it looks promising...

I have been to many many Casinos in the world including Sun City, Las Vegas, Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Perth, Christchurch, Queenstown, Genting, Star Cruises, Seoul etc. Resort world did not leave me a good impression.

In general, they brought in another Genting to Singapore only... The style, services and operational manner are similar in a way..

IMHO , 20k for bacarrat is not alots , Macau normal tables usually accept ups to 200k macau money , sorry dunno whats its call , genting 1 is the worse , only 10kRM for normal table .

I went with my cousin at 12am last night, joined the 2K unlimited per year.
The casino will program and use your IC to scan everytime you go time and got.Can used NETS to pay for the $2K.
if you join $100, can only go in cannot come out unless you pay $100 again.

spent first 1 hour walking around and q to sign up for membership point card.
got fee gift, a set of gambling cards

card will have dinning and hotel stay discounts, about $200+normal $300+.

my cousin wanted to play Blackjack so we played bet small to test water $50 per hand.
won ten hands so up by $500 in first hour, then they changed dealer from pretty girl to fat bastard, lost back $300 and we stop cos 3am.tired walked off profit $200.I thought important to win on first day otherwise not auspicious.

There are VIP tables, I small time so play at the $10 table.
didn't bother to change chips because may go back tonight !

Went there last night... damn packed. The tables are packed too... The ventilation at the smoking section is bad, can smoky in there... end up playing poker... No win no loss beginning... went to play roulette and lost 3k... plus the 100 used for the levy...

Maybe will take up the member scheme.. but think will wait till the hype goes down...

The Cashier - They need more than 1 Cashiers' area!

Toilet: Should be 5 times the size of the current one and definitely need to have more than 2 toilets.

I hope Sands Marina can do a better job than Gentings.

I think min is $10.
have to agree with the other bros about the toilet and drinks situation is bad.
To get a fast drink, go to the smoking section right to the corner on the right is a bar counter, they pour many cups of water coke, can just grab one and glup down on the spot but dont drink too much so no need to go toilet too many times.
I do a "water parade" after the game!
That term "fat bastard" is from the movie Austin Powers if you remember the movie

As long as you have not win your first 2k from your membership fee pay out, do you consider your $200 profit as auspicious? I bet you make them more auspicious then you do on the first day of their opening. Just my 2cents.
