BTW, just look at their stock price today... drop to 0.95... if got so many "high-rollers" playing, their stock price should be 1.95...

What??!! PR not really consider citizens still need to pay. Well, guess many hardcore PR gamblers might give up their PR status. Or maybe less foreigners want to be PR now... Haha...

If you ask me, sooner or later all will be free to enter.

Yalor , i dun think the $100 can really deter gamblers , they only make us look stupid paying the $100 , the foreigner are laughing at us , even my frds also laughing at me , say why so stupid to lose $100 before you gamble , and let the house have a edge over you.
At least they shld give like 10 times free entry per year or something like that , just like when malaysia car enter spore , so at least i can bring my parents go in and look-see , now those who dun wanna gamble and just want to see the casino have to pay $100 , than after paying $100 , start to think might as well try luck and win back the levy fees , if they give free entry per year but not allow to change chips to gamble , at least every sporean will get to see how the casino looks like .
Imagine if you go overseas people ask you hows the casino , you reply never go in , cos gov tax me $100 just to go in and see . Think most of them will laugh at us , telling us we Sporean need our GOv to take care of us like a baby , cos they dun want us to lose our hard earn money to the casino so they impose the levy thing , this only shows we cannot self control but need gov to impose all this rules for us .

deter my butt ah, just extra revenue for gov... already more than 34,000 residents including those on welfare, in bankruptcy, with criminal records or flagged by family members are barred from the casinos leow... so why the levy ... if there's any addict, also minimal, why 'tax' the rest... i only think of $$$ for gov.... if 1 million visit by sg/pr/ yr.. thn 100 mill for gov...woo....

the S$100 levy is laughable. Seriously, if i was asked to pay $100, id tell the gov't to stick it where it belongs . Even if i have to drive ~350km to the next casino, i rather drive. At best this is outright revenue raising

                          Just my opinion

Personally, I feel that the casino will fail. The government still have not learn from the Suzhow investment failure. Their attitude towards business is totally wrong. Look at Crazy Horse and others also..... sigh.... ( As the saying goes, not every rich people can open and run a coffee shop )

I find that we suffer from a 'holier than thou' attitude where we think we're really special to put such punitive measures for operators and locals.

Such decisions reveal these Marie Antoinettes who are detached from the world out there. I've encountered bosses from sinking ship companies who feel that way, just like our politicians.

Today on Radio a local Minister was welcoming growth and foreign workers in Singapore, claiming that growth is good and so be it that our trains, buses and apartments become more crowded, it's a good thing!

Well, easy for him to say when he doesn't have to squeeze and stand on public transportation!

                              Just my 2 cents!

Im waiting Genting SP to go down to $0.80 before I enter, The $100 levy will be taken out soon cos Genting cannot tahan, FTs going in just for free food/drinks not gambling. Gahmen will say we Singaporeans now become very mature so no need $100 or some stupid reason then waive it.
