Saw a posting on carousell by swiss watch specialist for explorer 2 model 216570 selling at $6888 so I contact him and went down to his shop at bencoolen to deal at $6750 with box and cert and 24 months in house warranty. Service is friendly and he provided some advise on how to check for fake rolex.

After a few days, found that there are water vapour on the inside of the exp 2 so called him and he say to bring down for him to check. But I decided to bring over to RCS instead so I can authenticate at the same time.

The lady at the RCS counter found out that the back was not screw tight and can be opened using hand. She asked me if I want to bring back to the dealer I brought or send in to RCS for servicing?

Was informed it will take a week for them to check and quote the price of servicing and there will be a charge of $107 if I don't want to service the watch. Waiting period for servicing is 7 weeks. There will also be 2 years warranty after servicing. Took 3 different size Rolex booklets back while I was at RSC.

Decided to send in for full servicing since water already got into the watch and further more it will come with 2 years warranty by Rolex. Received call from RSC on the same day and they quote $930 for the servicing and it will take 7 weeks. Waiting patiently now for it.

Overall it is still cheaper when comparing with getting a new one from AD right?

Don't think I want to go back to the seller for his in house warranty after this experience of cover not close tight incident.

Looking at the bright side at least I will get a newly serviced authentic watch with 2 years official warranty at a cheaper price. The exp 2 feels solid and great on the wrist!
Explorer 2 is great watch! Enjoy it

Buying from grey dealers is normally cheaper than AD who do not discount that much...

Really? So there's no official places that can do verifications now?
