i have to agree with you about this being a never-ending cycle in order to attain audio nirvana. I lost count the amount of amps, speakers, cables, etc that has gone thru' my system. End of the day, it's about contentment. At this point of time, I'm happy with my system and have no plans to muck around with it...

Anyway... agree with you on AT.. they do have some really good budget cans. Beyer Dynamics as well... but I prefer their pro series.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but damm poisionous man. I just got myself a Go-Vibe Magnum headphone amp, wah !!! Damm good leh, really got a world of difference. I thought the SE530 were already damm good, but adding the amps is a different class althogether.

Also tried out some of the Beyer headphones, agreed that they are damm good. But only for home usage, coz they really damm big.
