There seems to be a jam CD in there and there is an ackward jamming noise when I start up the car.... Brought it down to the audio guys today and they removed the unit for service.... So have to drive around with a black hole on the dash for at least a week!

Maybe throw in a good pair of mid range speakers as well....

Thats a dangerous route to take, once you install speakers, you will want to upgrade tweeters, soundproof the doors, wiring, maybe have a subwoofer or two, etc

i love the CLS as it is and it's perfect for me actually.
also thought of the maserati GT , the cayenne and even the S class or a 535i
but the CLS still the best so didnt change.
            How about the Panamera?

in any base i prefered my CLS lines to a panamera so there was no reason to change.

actually, i dont know what car to change to .
i should keep my cars longer, bad habit of changing cars every 1 to 1.5yrs
If you don't know which car to change to, it means that you are very happy with your CLS.....

Maybe can aim for S63/65... that will be a true sports luxury. never tried before, but if the C63 is anything to go by, it is one hell of a fun car to drive.

Man the road tax/ Rego on a c63 in singapore is a whopping 7.2k per annum....

Yeah back down under Rego for v8s are the same as for 4cylinders...... That explains why many people choose to have large luxury cars that are powered by a 2 litre or less capacity in Singapore. Example E250 which is actually 1.8 super charged....

I am paying 1.7k for my 2.5 litre turbo here......

Dollars aside, I would akin cars to be like watches.

Complex mechanisms working harmoniously together is an art to me. To see my car's engine, electronics, dials, buttons .... all working together is always an elating experience. To cruise down the highway smoothly and tackling turns and corners confidently is an experience on its own if you would allow yourself to indulge in.

Just like watches, knowing that every detail and mechanism inside and out were painstakingly engineered to work like a perfect concerto is in itself something delectable to savor and appreciate.

You don't really own a car in Singapore. You merely rent it for 10 years and that's it.
