if u eat at kudeta, doesn't mean you can't eat at hawker centres.
if you wear a patek, doesn't mean you can't wear a casio.

Appreciating th finer things in life doesn't make you a bad person or in a different class
Its understanding why something cost so much and appreciating the work, history and thoughts that goes behind it

Yeah back down under Rego for v8s are the same as for 4cylinders...... That explains why many people choose to have large luxury cars that are powered by a 2 litre or less capacity in Singapore. Example E250 which is actually 1.8 super charged....

I am paying 1.7k for my 2.5 litre turbo here......

I would rather buy a nice watch than a nice car. Resonable car with good economy and nice interior is sufficient with a comfortable ride. Now adays so many traffic lights in singapore. Have nice sporty powerful car also no use. Have to jam brake all the time. waste of petrol, doing nature earth a favour by not wasting petrol.

Some watches, the value stays or appreciate, cars....always depreciate...those are my choice.

I think a car lover will see a watch as a watch and a car as a car and not compromis one over the other unless limited finance. I love cars way earlier than I love watches. With each purchase, my budget goes up and have gone thru 11 rides in 11 years. But for watches, I am still thinking long and hard about getting Pateks. Have only gone as far as an AP.

But if I have to give up one of the two hobbies, defintely will give up watches as I need my daily fix of bhp ad torque. I can live with even a IWC 3717 as an only watch.

I believe it is down to how much excess cash you have. We start with electronic gadgets, then watches, cars, then properties. These are all luxuries in life, who wouldn't like a nice car if money wasn't a factor...
