In the past I used to wear 38mm and now got my first AP and I start to appreciate bigger size watch. 42mm and 44mm will be perfect.

personally i'd prefer 42-45mm sized watches.
But i do wear my Datejust often too although its a 36mm.

Before should be is 42mm.
After after wear astron, oris and ball = 44mm - 47mm will be great.
However i still wearing 34mm 6694...hehe.

39-44 is fine, but 36 is a huge maybe, might be ok if it was with a suit as a dress watch but under 36 is totally no go.
