What was the first ever watch you put your hard earned $$$ on?

mine was a Tag F1 bought for $1320 5yrs ago.
many yrs ago,i saw my superior wearing a Tag and thought how cool he was as he was a role model to me.
i swore i would buy one the day i moved up to an executive level.
to add on,i wore it to Switzerland and i got a scratch when i was swimming in a beautiful outdoor pool.
i actually love that scratch as it brings back nice memories!
i told my wife,even if i am offered 10 times the price,i wont sell it.
