This animation movie not made in JAPAN but created by USA. According to the created statement, they love tokyo so much, that's why the animation character name after japanese, they also created two city into one, San francisco & Tokyo, But this awesome animation got nothing to do with Japan....

Both me and missus were skeptical about the great reviews. We did watched in the end. She loved it and foe me, it's quite mixed reaction. There were certain parts in the middle that were quite draggy but overall, one can't help but feel the emotional attachment between the boy and Mr Michellin..
