ha ha.... but very hard for me not to "act" like a tourist in China... even I go there for business, people there sure know I am not a local there even I am a Chinese and speak mandarin...

true lah, for me, i always find out the local dressing, common slangs (if possible), and try to blend in

my friend from taiwan (speaks japanese; parents study in japan, with japanese name), whenever she goes to japan, also they know the diff just by hearing her accents .

hey, i was there at shanghai and hangzhou too. but i went there during this year chinese new year....and boy it was damn freezing cold.

xihu was nice......still have the longjing green tea leaf that i bought from hangzhou.

me too, still have the long jing tea... when i was there, the weather was cold too...

i love hangzhou.....too bad i was there for 2 days only. went to so many places back then....like xihu, yuefei temple, buy sifeng longjing, then also silk blanket.....and the food....simply delicious.....cheap and nice.

i would love to go there again if time permit.

btw...after i try the longjing that i bought from china.....those i drank in sg one hor....all cannot make it.

The scenery at Xihu is fantastic... from what i see, you are a shopping fanatic man!! did not buy the silk blanket.. yes, the food is great, the "dong Buo" meat... wow.... very sinful but I LOVE IT....
