    Anybody tried Bandung for a short holiday? Just booked a last minute short holiday to go there. No planning done. Intend to just hire a driver with car and follow recommendation.

      Bali. Scenery is beautiful, beaches, good food and friendly people. More importantly, air ticket is cheap.

          if you don't mind driving up north, can consider this 3D2N self-drive trip

          D1: SG-Sunway via E3 & E2 NSHW
          * 6+am cross 2nd link (early to avoid jam)
          (i've tried crossing at 9pm a night earlier, very smooth, check-in Castello Hotel at Kulai to sleepover)
          * top up petrol/toll card at Gelang Patah R&R/petrol station
          * breakfast at Yong Peng "Yuan Yuen Fishball" (approx 105km 1+hr)
          or Kulai (lots of good food along main road)
          * lunch near Mines "Yoke Heng Claypot Lou Shu Fun" (approx 220km, 2.5hrs)
          Hotel/N1: Sunway Pyramid Hotel
          * I stayed there, quite nice and very convenient for kids access to Sunway Lagoon and also mommy's shopping at Sunway Pyramid
          * take short drive over to I-City theme park (Shah Alam) for some fun and nice "LED filled" photos (approx 20km, 0.5+hr)
          * lots of dinner options, many nice restaurants within Pyramid or walk/drive out for even more options

          D2: Sunway Lagoon theme park
          * breakfast provided by hotel is quite nice
          * Sunway Lagoon & shopping day
          * lunch either at Sunway itself or take a short drive to Shah Alam "Yeoh's Bak Kut Teh" (approx 240km, 2.5-3hrs)
          * the BKT is darn good (must try the big bone, better to order in advance)
          Hotel/N1: Sunway Pyramid Hotel

          D3: Sunway-HotSpring-RTB
          * breakfast in hotel
          * 9am check out and head for Jasin Hot Springs (approx 150km, 1.5+hrs)
          * 1+hr at Jasin hot spring
          * lunch at Tangkat, "Kuang Fei Tangkat Beef Noodles" (approx 30km, ~1hr)
          remember to pop over to Hua Bee Bakery along the same street for some nice snacks)
          * stopover at Bukit Indah (approx 180km, 2+hrs)
          * dinner at Bukit Indah shopping centre
          or Wee Wee Food Court (Jln Bestari, Bukit Indah)
          or at Tian Lai seafood restuarant at Geland Patah
          N3: home sweet home

          Places visited:
          * I-City (Shal Alam)
          * Sunway Lagoon (Petaling Jaya)
          * Jasin Hot Spring (Jasin, Hohor)
          * Bukit Indah

          Recommended Food along the way:
          * Yuan Yuen Fishball (Yong Peng)
          * Yoke Heng Lou Shu Fun (near Mines Resort)
          * Yeoh's Bah Kut Teh (Shal Alam)
          * Tangkat Beef Noodles (Tangkat)
          * Wee Wee Food Court (Jln Bestari, Bukit Indah)
          * Tian Lai seafood restuarant (Geland Patah)

          have fun

          shall share about my drive trips to Ipoh and Cameron Highlands on other posts
