Check this out Bangkok Rooftop venue. I have only been to Vertigo and Rooftop bar. Vertigo is nice and you can give Rooftop bar a miss. Sirocco looks nice but me never been there. Hope this helps.

grand china princess chinatown... this 1 lauya, nothing much nearby
other hotel i stay b4: novetel siam sq, meridien, grand hyatt, pathumwan princess.. not too bad, wnt shopping, nearby got leow...

tiger shows are just hype lar...nothing special leh...somemore nowadays the ppl at there resort to extortion ...bo hua..i rather go to ida health spa for a nice and 'special' massage session...lol

i wnt tiger show with my wife, tht;s at least 8 to 9 yrs bck... if i rem correctly thb 250 each

there is also Banyan tree hotel in bkk... Spa is good for one being in the city... The hotel itself is solely suites... Stayed there during my company trip 4yrs back...
World trade center also got good place for shopping and dvds... Been quite sometime since i've been there....
