    hahaha...i speak hokkien to them and the locals reply me in teochew...esp in chinatown and massage places...hehehe.....so i m perfectly comfortable to go bangkok..in fact i be going in aug..hehehe....

    i had a feeling that in thailand speak cantonese........ . Noted hokkien is fine by me Means I have no worries if I go thailand. Last time my old man was in BKK they spoke cantonese

    im sure most people have a grasp of english with differing degrees of understanding. The young guns would have a strong grasp of the language.

    you can look for chinese shops and communicate to them in cantonese, they can then divert you on where to go
