  • Second hand watch: SG vs HK

    Hey guys
Does anyone know if second hand watches such as rolex and omega are cheaper in HK or SG?

My budget is around 2-3k and am looking for a good 2nd hand rolex or omega.

    Advise, anyone?

It's difficult to tell u it's cheaper here or HK.Second hand watches doesn't have a definite pricing anywhere.and then the piece u aiming might be available here and not HK.
My advise is,buy if u are comfortable with the price.

do some legwork locally, study the price, then if hkg price is more competitive than back home. just buy.

IS HK pricing really more attractive than SG?

I guess the only advantage is the currency exchange rate if HK$ is low, around 6.2 now.

For safety sake, suggest you purchase in SG.

in terms lf safety, why would sg be safer place to buy than hk? either way, u will prob bring the watch to RSC for verification, and HK RSC doesn't charge a single cent for that

Anyone tried getting 2nd hand watch in Macau? With so many casinos there I'm sure 2nd hand market is thriving there
                Experiences to share?

I am dubious about the watches in Macau. I saw some models that are so "rare" that I fear they may not be real!

Used watches in macau are term "suay" unlucky to me. Gamblers wear the watch and losses money therefore pawn it. haha...

                      Wana buy suay watch?!

depends on view point. its the player that wear that is suay. not the watch suay.

Think it safer to buy it in Singapore. Should there be any problem in your watch, you no need to fly back to HK/ Macau to resolve the problem.

I would say buy a second hand watch would involve some risk here and there...
Having said that, I suppose if you want to buy a second hand,
Better get it from a trusted dealer shop or someone you know well.

Stick to SG. Safer place for watches I would say.
