The rough figure that we're collecting should be less than $2K, looking at what we have now.

My views on this are:

1. There're many ways that we can do charity other than giving $$. One way is to have an outing there, maybe to one of the children's home, and each one of us bring some items for the children. We can even adopt a home if we want to. This way, we can constantly help them by maybe organising a drive once every yr?

2. If we're looking at using the $$ to fund our outings, then we have to make prudent plans for the usage of the $$ because ultimately, I believe all of us wants to see the items that we've contributed going for a good cause.

Either of which, I'm comfortable and will support, so long as the $$ are accounted for

T & C, No viewing, if not louis die ah...got to arrange meet to view. hahaha

SG Ebay did not bother to reply... so what i suggest is

1) we will hold the 'unofficial ebay' auction using someone's nick or we will register SGROC as a nick on sg ebay....

2) Simultaneously, postings of the 'charity auction' will be posted on garage sales in VR-ZONE, HWZ, and any other major SG forums that you can tink of...

3) Since we will be listing the items on sale as 'charity' stuffs... we will not be able to keep any of the cash for forum makan $.... if not it sounds like a scam.. so maybe we can set aside 1-2 smaller items to be auctioned off for the makan funds ?

4) If possible, we can start the auction early (ASAP !)... so if things go well...we can use part of the 'makan $' for a lou yu sheng session for members here.... so all of us here can have gd luck and Huat ah !

5) Need some1 to register on SGROC's behalf on SG EBAY.... can any mods volunteer ? Thanks.
