  • About Ball Trainmaster Cannonball

Was browsing through the Ball website when the Cannonball caught my eye.

The black dial somehow resembles the IWC Portugese

The oversized crown resembles the IWC Pilot

But at the fraction of the price of course

As the movement is a 49 jewels one with some modifications made to the chrono function, is this watch expensive to service?

    Anyone here has any experience?

I have not tried the watch, does the oversized crown cause any obstruction?

I have put it on my wrist when choosing between the spacemaster, it is a real beautiful watch, way look better than pic in the catalog.
Not sure the servicing cost, however, it should not be much diff to other ETA movement charges, and the Ball's service centre ROCK!

Didn't notice any obstruction when put on, at least on me.

IMO, the craftmanship is on par, if not better than the IWC Portugese, value for money.

If i remembered correctly, Ball's svc charges are

      1) Non-chrono models: S$250
      2) Chrono models: S$350

The Cannonball costs $4,500 on the steel bracelet before any discount.

So it is about $3k++ after discount.

Looks like a high-end Ball Watch.

Have learnt from other forums that the movement is also used by Panerai.

Is it worth it? Any comments?

Made an order today at an AD for the Cannonball, black dial, steel strap.

Anyone knows that if the local agent do not have the stock, how long will it take for the watch to be delivered from Switzerland?

Depending on the shipment, my order of Cleveland Express took 3 weeks to arrive (2 days ago), but the leather strap came wrong type, was told the next shipment will be around 15th march, hope to collect by then..
