I would go for the St Exupery cos it's pretty rare & the watch is dedicated to the French poet. I had a normal SS black face Big Pilot & I sold it cos my wrist is just too small to handle it. I think you should buy what speaks to you; use your heart & not your head cos you will be wearing it for at least a year before selling. BTW, a pre-owned St Ex BP is around S$18000 or so.

Think you could still get the St Ex Big Pilot; I saw Watch Arena selling one at S$18000 & Collectors Haven is also selling one around that price; both are stainless steel though. There are 4 watches in this collection, IWC came out with the 42mm chrono, then the Power Reserve, UTC & lastly, the Big Pilot. I have the 2nd & 3rd release & still hunting for the 1st one, but the price is too high for a normal chrono at above US$5000!! Saw a brand new in HK but the price is so crazy at S$9000! Hope you get the one you like!!

Get the limited edition! It's always better to get the limited edition model if you could. The standard model is always available anytime.
