  • Need help to remove leather/kevlar strap

I am trying to change the strap myself on my IWC Pilot for the first time. So far it has been a struggle, and did not dare to put too much force for fear of damaging the watch. I just cannot seemed to squeeze the strap enough to access the spring bar. I have a spring bar removal tool.

    Any tips to share? Thanks!

My friend has the same watch and wanted to do the same but dared not. Faced the same issue as you, so ended up getting it done at Top Hour, Lucky Plaza, for a few bucks and a minute's job! Perfect!!

Here. Mounted on the tool left is spring bar tip.

The flat one below is the strap tip.

My spring bar tool has a small forked tip and a fat forked tip (about 5-8mm wide). Guess for the time being I will bring it to shop for professional help, and practice on another watch.

          Thanks for all your feedbacks!
