Ah I see thx for the clarification. So that means the leathe versions of the 377 p7 will be below 10k. About 8600? So it's a 1k increase from the 3717. Not that bad lah.I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

List price of the bp in hkg is cheaper. (hkd113,000 or sgd18,833). But discount offered is only 10%. much lower than sg AD.Originally posted by roguehog View PostLocal AD. Was in hong kong last weekend and after discount, local AD is still cheaper then hong kong AD by at least $300.I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

Wow...the price increase for the new pilot chrono is quite a lot...but it is not unexpected la. This happens for many brands too. Whenever they launch a newer model to replace the older model, their price will increase by quite a bit. Hmmm...I think the older IWC pilot chrono 3717 preowned value will increase also since it is discontinued and the newer pilot chrono is so expensive with only a little bit of differences and still using the same movement.Originally posted by lthg25 View PostJust went in for a look and saw that some of new pilot watches are in. Mark XVII, Pilot Chrono and Worldtimer are here. New Pilot Chrono listed at $10200.
Still waiting for Spitfire Chrono

The ETA/Valjoux 7750 base movement one can purchase for USD $485 and USD $675 depending on the finishing quality...... It does make me wonder where the cost of watches with NON manufacture movements goes !!!Originally posted by roguehog View Post15k is before discount. But if can get Bp at 12k then it's a no brainer.
The jump in price fir the spitfire is cos of the switch from valjoux to in-house movement. But can't accept the steep price hike of the pilot chrono.
Companies selling watches using this Calibre in the SGD $8-10K + range is silly..... and I'm staring at Breitling, Panerai, and IWC amongst others here....... talk about fooling the market

New Spitfire chrono out at Ion. With bracelet listed at 16700. With leather list at 15000. Really a big jump on the current model. The new model uses in house movement with a power reserve of 68 hrs. It looks really nice in the flesh but the price is really a put off.My Current

I guess it's their way of generating interest in that particular model. The spitfire chrono had never been as popular as the pilot chrono. I reckon they are putting an in-house movement to garner interest. That's why the pilot chrono is still running on valjoux. Just my take.I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

Given the case is the same for both new models, with the in house movement for the Spitfire Chrono, does a 6K difference really justify it? Would have bought it if the price was the same as the new pilot chrono.Originally posted by roguehog View PostI guess it's their way of generating interest in that particular model. I'm not standing onnthe same side of the fence as richemonte. But in-house movement has always commanded a higher retail price. That's the norm. Justification is really dependent onnthe consumer. Just my take.Originally posted by lthg25 View PostGiven the case is the same for both new models, with the in house movement for the Spitfire Chrono, does a 6K difference really justify it? The watch name should be Pilot’s Watch Worldtimer. Big pilot is a totally different watch. As for the Worldtimer, don't think AD have them yet so the only place you can get them now is at the boutique at no discount.Originally posted by ravikiran View PostCan someone please advise the price of the Big Pilot worldtimer and where can i get the best discount. thanksMy Current

Boutiques are never a good place to get any discounts. Prices at boutiques should be controlled world wide and don't vary that much. Why not wait till AD get them and you can easily get a 20% or more discount from them.Originally posted by ravikiran View Postany idea of the pricing?? i am at the HKG airport - IWC boutique quoted 76000+ hkd approx 12000 sgd.!!!!
also on my way to south korea - doubt prices will be competitive there- never been there before - any ideas ?My Current
