Omega Price Increase

Tag is increasing?

Any one has any idea or guess when is the next likely round of price hike?

This year has seen Rolex and Omega increasing their price. One of the AD told me that Tag is also going to increase. Since I am looking at an Omega, likely would like to get it before the next round of increase.

Just got back from my vacation in NYC. Got my 3573.50.00 for US 5,200 inclusive of sales tax of 8.75%.

In my opinion Omega can't be considered equal to Rolex. Rolex is a Rolex is a Rolex. Rolex is in a different league.

I was just talking to this watch shop in Orchard and the lady owner confirmed that prices will increase again in December.
Why do they always have to increase in December? *sigh*

Increase increase la.. I'm not paying my hard earn money to buy an ETA movement but rather spend it on another rolex. Makes it worth my money. At least it marks another milestone for an achievement.

Omega watches are getting more and more expensive and their discount are getting lesser and lesser. We can see what they are trying to do here. To be on par or catch up with Rolex. But I seriously hope that they also have got plans to make their own in-house movements for all their watches. Otherwise the price of an Omega cannot be justified. No matter what they do or name their movements, eg Co-axial, it is still essentially a heavily modified ETA movement. It is simply not worth paying so much money for a ETA movement. Much like a Ferrari running a Toyota engine.

But the 3570 Speedmaster Pro is still completely in-house right? Sorry guys am new to the whole watch thing. Thinking about getting a Speedy Pro as my first 'proper' watch.

I was shown the new price list in one AD yesterday. It is for real that Omega is increasing its prices wef 1 July 2012! However, not all the models are affected.

imho omega 8500 caliber is a great caliber, better then Rolex 3135.

My AD also said july price hike. but didn't realise it was so soon on the 1st!
