how's the AD discounts like over there in NYC?

Omega boutique in NYC no discount + 8.75% sales tax (non-refundable) not like in Europe, where you can claim back when you leave.
AD there discount reasonable + 8.75% sales tax (non-refundable) as i pay them in CASH !!!
The only thing i don't quite like is the 8.75% sales tax which even tourist like us have to pay.
Nevertheless with the sales tax, its still cheaper than here in Singapore which i found out with the ADs here.

I got the 3575.50.00 model with the sapphire crystal glass and see-thru back. The 3570.50.00 hesalite model is about U$ 1,000 cheaper and the co-axial model is abt U$ 1,100 more than the one i bought (all list prices).

I was also a bit lucky as AD and OMEGA boutique both only have one pce in stock. Only managed to get it on the second last day in NYC. The AD i bought from is called KENJO in 57th St. along Fifth Ave for those who might be going to NY in the near future and wants to check it out. They carries alot of brands. Only brands they do not caryy is ROLEX n TUDOR.

My intention was first to get the TUDOR Pelagos but unfortunately could not find the TUDOR brand in the US although i came across the IWC Aquatimer (latest model) which retailed @ U$ 6,600, too ex for me.

thanks! i'm heading to Boston in a couple of week's time and i'm gonna check out the prices there. if i'm not wrong, there is only one AD in Boston that carries Omega so I'm not very hopeful I can find what I want or that they will give a more attractive discount.

yeah, sales tax sucks in USA. they are always non refundable. boston charges 6.25%.

Well my friend at 6.25%, it's still better than NYC @ 8.75%. Sometimes don't quite understand these bloody AMERICANS. Here as tourists we are helping their economy and there they treat us tourists the same like them, paying sales tax. Well this will be my first n last watch from the US... No more buying from US for me at least...
