i think the service centre at wheelock do it for free, can call them to confirm.

Just did a quick authentication of a PO at the Swatch Service Centre today. Yes, the service is free. They took a few close looks at the casing and check the database that the watch serial no. checked out alright. I guess they never open the case back so no charge was incurred.

they can open the case back, you just need to tell them to verify movement as well.

yah they could but i told them no need. anyway i was quite convinced it's genuine but just wanted some assurance from someone who sees omegas day in day out ...

How do I locate the serial number on the watch?

I have a day/date speedmaster in TT (ss with yg).

Most speedmaster s/no is on the back case itself, otherwise it's at the case in position 7 o'clock. If can't locate, it could be a replica.

You can email Omega direct for a check. They will advise you on which year this watch was made and whether the serial number actually exist.

if u genuinely interested, why not meet up with seller at the service centre for authentication? they can check the serial no. and also do the servicing if u want to close the deal with peace of mind.
