  • Omega PO's warranty

    Any senior can advise what is the warranty for Omega Planet Ocean 45mm? I guess its 24mths, but somebody said it can go up to 36mths. I so ???

    Correct me if I m wrong. For the 8500 movement onwards it's 4 yrs. for the older movement like 2500, it's only 2 yrs.

        8500 movement costs a lot more than the 2500 movements. $8k+ for 8500 I think.

              You can get warranty information in the book attached with your watch. 2 to 3 years.

                4 years warranty for PO with the latest 8500 movement.

                    Thank you, guys...!! I almost got 'smoke' by the local AD, she told me its 2 year only.. but I read the 'red book' its stated 36mths for co-axial.

                            is your PO using 2500 cal or the new 8500 cal?

                            both have co-axial escapement, but 2500 is a decorated ETA (2892) with piggy back coaxial escapement, whereas 8500 is a 2nd gen coaxial movement (made by omega inhouse) with coaxial built in - omega claims that the 8500 is much more reliable and durable hence give a 4 year warranty over the usual 2year

                            incidentally both omega and ETA are under swatch group
