Thx! Yes for my wife in pointing out the watch and financing it too, haha. nevertheless, I will still continue to search for a Rolex and I think it will be enough for me. See, my plan is to have 2 nice watches so that i can pass it on to my boys next time. So I guess 1 will be this omega, and the other one will be a rolex. Unfortunately i can't afford a patek, the tag line suitably defines my thought.

You don't actually own a Patek, you only take care of it for the next generation.

          • its a nice watch, but being an everyday watch makes it susceptible to scratches. do u guys ever send your watches for polishing?

Thx dude :-) Ya, I also used to worry about scratching my watches but somehow over time, I begin to appreciate that if the watch is scratch, its more charming. So I dun really sent it for regular polishing, only when I send it for servicing than I will polish it at the same time.

Seamaster is cool too. If i can find a brand new 007 Seamaster, I think I will get it too.

              Cheers!

                    Hi there,

Any vintage omega lovers out there? Got my Seamaster 300 and started my search for a 321 speedmaster to complete the pair.

                    • Do becareful of vintage SM300. Most of them are fakes esp on the local auction sites. This link may be beneficial to determine real or fake SM300.

                      • Accuracy of Omega

Got a pre-owned omega seamaster. This morning I synchronise it with my 2 other quartz (Hamilton Khaki & Seiko Kinetic). After 12 hour, my Omega is 6~7 seconds faster than the 2 watches which remains synchronised. My omega is running on Calibre 1151.

Is this normal ? Do frequent wearing correct the problems ?

thought of it too. Worry that the service centre will "chop my carrot" by suggesting for expensive part replacement. May end up footing high bill for a pre-owned watch.

"15 sec faster for 24 hours" looks like a problem which cannot be ignored. I will check with Omega later this week ...

                              • Ya.... think that diff is pretty significant... u sld go n check

Tink the service center can quote you the price first before commencing with the service right...
