  • Replacing Omega sapphire crystal

    Hi all,

My missus dropped and cracked her Speedmaster auto watch's crystal. Other than Omega service center, is there any shop that I can go to have the crystal changed?

Asking because was quoted $200++ for crystal part, and another $200++ for "partial servicing"(labour costs for replacement) at service center...so finding cheaper alternative.

    Thanks for any advise/suggestion.

This is very late, but I reckon you could purchase your own crystal and have any watchsmith press the crystal in. some of the enthusiasts probably also have their own crystal press.
