I couldn't live with such a situation; i would send it back immediatelyOriginally posted by glay78 View PostJust noticed my O series 422 also has 2 speck of dust under the crystal. In pretty sure it wasn't there before. Should I go back to Richemont or wait after CNY. Watch is still under warranty.

My 441 is about 17 months old. No problem with dust specks on the dial.

My 2 cents.
All brands including rolex and pams will suffer from occasional QC lapses. I've got a brand new rolex from local ad and later realised there is a tiny strand of hair on the dial before. To be fair the strand is really really tiny and RSC removed it for me FOC.
To be honest I personally think that pam's QC is better than rolex's. Of course that could be bec it produces only 1/5 of the number rolex does.

So far only once have I read that a one to one exchange happened and it from one of our forum member who purchased a 510 for a month plus and the power reserve doesn't keep up with the specs.
The worst I have read was a member who bought a Panerai chrono and in his 3 years of ownership, his Panerai broke 4 times which means 3-4 weeks of Pam-less moments. So far, no offering of one to one replacement from Panerai other than they will keep fixing it every time it breaks.
As far as i know, the standard practice for Richemont regarding "lemon" pieces is repair... repair... repair...
I guess it depends on how "firm" are you in demanding a more conclusive outcome.

They definitely will not do anything else apart from fixing back the lose screw and maybe water pressure test...Originally posted by snoop View Post...So I sent it to the boutique and they merely fixed it back with no charge, even though I was out of warranty. Well, the kicker was other than that, no other polishing or servicing done on it.. I sold the watch shortly after that as I was sooooo disappointed...
Servicing/polishing means time and time means money to Richemont...just like any other brands...

To be fair even if a watch is sent in for a repair during warranty period. Usually NO other actions will be performed on the watch except what is necessary to get the watch back to working condition within company specifications. Hence usually no full servicing or refurbishment of case and bracelet etc. Unless u ask for and pay for it. This I think is the same across many brands.
But if the same problem occurs time after time despite repeated repairs, wouldn't the company be obligated to replace the watch? Wouldn't lemon law kick in?

I had an issue with my 111 a year back as well, a screw from the movement dropped out from my 4 year old watch.
It was pure heartbreak for me man, my first luxury watch I've purchased. So I sent it to the boutique and they merely fixed it back with no charge, even though I was out of warranty. Well, the kicker was other than that, no other polishing or servicing done on it.. I sold the watch shortly after that as I was sooooo disappointed.
That said, like what the other bros mentioned here, maybe I was unlucky with a lemon, so I'm giving Panerai a second chance now and just purchased a new 0 from ion boutique this year. Let's see how it goes from here...

seems like a non-common problem in most PAMs, but it should be solved with a servicing...

If I thinking negative I not going to play PAM anymore for sure.Originally posted by visvim View PostLike what Bro Ryuden said, the staff just said if got problem then they can only "repair" it lor. But the servicing quite good la, take away dust, they got do time checks, waterproofing checks etc.
Still, once bitten, twice shy.
If I thinking positive very excellent warranty coverage PAM for sure.
