Yeah i set my handphone time auto update and thats how i track the timing.
    yours might have been magnetized?
My set is from AD (authorized dealer). I called panerai initially and they say I could change since it's less than a month old.

But mine is 8 days so over span of 8 days it could gain abt 1-2 min. As I said it could be due to when setting the time, the iPhone time could be start of the minute but my pam seconds could be end of minute ( so gives impression that it gain time)

But my 1st set is really cmi

The thing is I need to go back to my AD since I got it from AD.

Now I am a happy user. But now with my new 510, after 5 months, I realized it is starting to run faster I feel. I always like to compare the time with my iphone as I set the time according to the Iphone timing. Now its like 1 min off. But i think probably its due to seconds so it might not be that bad in my case

So i set it again and went to bed. This morning it was running fine! After 7-8hrs there was no gain or loss.
And now just after I reach office,it gained 5s.Thats only after 2hrs....
My wife said why should I be so particular? Its just a few min and why kick up a big fuss??
I told her,if its a few s for a day,i can accept but its a few min only less than a day??
I am not going to Ion to bang table but just hope they look into it seriously.
They monitored it for a week and did not see anything wrong with the accuracy? How can that convince me??

Few minutes gained in a day? This is completely unacceptable ! Just curious why the watch performed well when it was in SC?

In fact I am sharing my experience but I hope it does not affect on your buying decision.
It is still a wonderful time piece with rich military history and I will not even hesitate to get another Pam if I have my eyes on another model.
Mine might be among the minority and there are stillplenty of happy owners around.
Anyway,I will go back to them again, for the last time.I am also prepared it might need to be sent back to Switz and take up months.

I don't think he meant to literally bang table at the boutique. But voice your concern in a serious tone so they will not take it lightly. I don't actually own a Pam but am keen to add to my collection until I saw this thread that stopped me on my track.

Likewise I've heard stories on other brands but so far for myself I've never come across poor service as such it seems they are just floating around and not resolving the actual problem.

In retrospect you should go back and give them an insight of what happened the last couple of days and maintain that you are very upset this is a torturous process of going to and fro the boutique. I feel your attitude have got to be more demanding this time round to ever get something proper done. Otherwise they will lead you in circles.

Ultimately, it's your watch it's your choice. But thank you for sharing this and I've made my decision too.

    All the best.

Not some sharing experience I would love to read about but it happens...The p5000 movement has only been around for like 2 years since its debut back in mid 2013 and still have a long long way to prove it reliability.

I definitely not going to forget about it if it was me and demand (yes demand) Panerai to get it right. Paying top dollar surely you expect top product or at least something that works within its specs.

I know you have had the 564 for 6 months now but maybe you can try suggesting to them about swapping this problematic piece with a brand new one. I know it rarely happens and chances are very very slim as this is not one of their policies (swapping/replacement) but it does happened before. No harm trying.

    All the best.

You know, reading your case frustrates me

This is because your case is one of the many "horror" stories I have heard of late. In a more recent case, a friend of mine related his unpleasant encounter with the Panerai boutique (ION) over the repair/service of his watch, to me. In short, his few years old watch (less than 3-4 years) was sent in for a minor defect only to be returned with more defects! I'm not at liberty to divulge more. I'm not even sure if Panerai has even settled the matter with him after those past months.

When you said you should just give up means what? Give up to pursue to correct the time and just wear on? Give up buying another PAM watch? Give up this brand totally and sell this watch away?

I went to demagnetize my watch again yesterday evening.this morn quicken by more than 1min again. I didn't do anything unusual non place it near magnets.
Handphones shouldnt be the cause right?other than being near to my phone,i can't think of anything else.
Really got to send back to Switzerland chalet ah??
