If you are not a regular, they have a duty to quote you the fullest RP.

Be aware of the alphabet (after series), if you are buying a "new" from pre-owned shop. 5.3 - 5.6 or 5.7 for a new piece, I think. Bery good resale value..

Or hunt for a pre-owned piece also can..

this is common for non-reg to 'get' full RP, maybe i don't know much ppl yet.
pre-owned and brand new pam from pre-owned shop diff is not much gap.

have a period of time i was hunting for Pam 5 too, then realised place like hr glass / cortina selling at 6.8k. when i go to one of the panerai pre-owned shop , they selling around 5.4k brand new.

Ever consider a PAM 196 or PAM 188? Not tat I have one.. .

They are discon models with Stainless steel... 251 is brushed.. i think
