Thanks for the detailed info on the VAT return calculation. Glad I bought my 372 from one of our dealer bros on the forum. The boutique in Paris, as well as most ADs didn't have stock. I love the email reply from one of the ADs: pls try again after next year's SIHH... LOL!

    Luckily, you tell me that.

The sales tell me is 19%

    Thanks!

I agree. My sister-in-law was at Berlin last week. Asked her to help me buy Pam... all the models I shortlisted; no stock. Only got Pam005 at 3,800 Euro (after discount!) I think prices went up by a few hundred Euros recently, coz the list price was 3,700 Euro for Pam005. Anyway the nett VAT refund was only 11%. So it would have cost me 3,800 x (100%-11%) x 1.67 = $5,650 thereabouts.

Hi guys, after I'm back, I still think that getting form our local grey sellers is more worth. Cos when I was there the the exchange rate for credit card is around S$1 to Euro$1.67, compare to previous rate is Euro$1.55 and models are very limited but unless can manage to get e discount. Also the final and the most difficult stage will be at the airport, claiming e VAT, people were there will understand what I meant. These are all my personal feel when i'm there, just sharing with you guys, hope no hard feelings, I might be wrong or lack of luck for feeling the right ADs. Anyway I wish those bros going soon will be able to get what they want.

BTW, 4900 is the list price. Go to an AD, not the panerai boutique and bargain, can get a few hundred euros off...

19% VAT is quite decent, considering some other countries like France only offer 13%.

    Is it a good price?

    Presume 19% VAT, cost will be 4900 X 1.6 X 0.81= $6350

Coollawyer, check Panerai website for list of ADs.

I went to two in Milan: Rocca and Pisa horologie. Also went to Panerai Boutique there and in Paris.

Rocca is next to Duomo, Pisa near via Montanapoleone. Check google maps for streetview if u need.

Try and bargain, I got a few hundred euros off. Do note that their models may be limited!

Boutique no discount. Paris VAT refund is effectively 12% off retail.

Try and look for ADs, Panerai website will help you. Go to those near city center to check out collection and bargain for a good feel of pricing.

I got a few hundred euros off my purchases in Milan.

There's a boutique in Paris- that's the best in terms of selection. Other option would be Chronopassion

Advisory : Heading to Paris, which AD?

Heading out to Paris this weekend. Any idea which Panerai AD offers the largest selection?

    Thanks!
