When to Richemont this afternoon, after settling my watch I ask the lady at the customer counter.

If the watch is a fake will you take it ?
the answer is - No, but still must pay $85.

A cheaper way to do it is to bring the watch to Richemont and ask them if servicing is necessary (you may add that the watch is running a bit slow). They will get their technicians to open up the watch and see if any parts are worn out or if it requires lubrication, gasket changes, change of rusty cannon pin, etc etc. Once it comes back to you with a quote and list of things to change, it means that the watch is not a fake. They know what to look out for, so no worries. It's just like how you 'save' on Rolex servicing.
